200 BARRELS FOR HAITI


The mission drive runs from September 4, 2010 through November 13, 2010. 

CCEE is spearheading a mission drive to supply dried beans, rice, and new clothing to Haitian families still in need. Our own Haitian family still needs your love, compassion, and assistance along with the ONE MILLION other Haitians families just like ours. They survived the January 2010 earthquake. But, it ripped their world apart

Church & Community Empowering Enterprises, Inc. (CCEE) is “Rolling Out The Barrels” Again. This time, we are collaborating with the Global Aid Network (GAIN) to ship a container to Haiti.

Please help us feed  and clothe our neighbors. More than 1,000,000 Haitians are still struggling since the recent earthquake that killed more than 200,000 of our brothers and sisters in the Caribbean.

You can C.A.Re. in three easy steps:

Call-Ask-Return (CARe)

Step One:

Call CCEE  at (717) 889-8491 to purchase a 55-gallon barrel with lid for $100.00; purchase price covers shipping fees to Haiti, West Indies.

Step Two:

Ask kindhearted people to donate dried beans, white rice, new clothing, or school supplies to fill your barrel (see list below). Please do not re-package the rice/beans.

Step Three:

Return the full barrel to container site or call CCEE to arrange for pickup and receive your framed certificate for your mission efforts.

Fill a barrel with food . . . dried beans and white rice any type or brand or brand in original packaging (1 - 5 pounds plastic bags)  all items must be new!!! You can choose any or all categories below ! Re-packaging is not acceptable.

Hygiene Products: Bar Soap, Washcloths & Towels, Deodorant, Combs & Brushes, Hair Grease, Toothpaste & Toothbrushes, First Aid Supplies, Flat Sheets. Infants & Children: Pampers, Diapers, Pins, Diaper Rash Cream, Baby Bottles, Small Receiving Blankets, Underclothing, Clothing, Flat Footwear, School Supplies. Women & Men: Under Clothing, Clothing, Sanitary Products, Sewing Items, Fabrics, Sneakers, Flat Footwear, Work Boots, Office Supplies .

BARRELS WILL BE LOCATED AT THE CONTAINER SITE FOR PURCHASE:

Anyone may bring smaller donations of beans, rice, and new clothing items to the container Site.

A care package consisting of four pounds of dried beans/rice feeds a family of four

(2 adults and 2 children) for one week.

One barrel feeds 400 people one meal a day for one week (200 adults + 200 children) 

Cost to fill one Barrel (beans/rice average purchase price $1.00 per pound)

One barrel holds up roughly 400 pounds (Barrel purchase/shipping cost: $100.00)

Total Price: beans/rice plus shipping  to Haiti: $500.00

ALL FOOD ITEMS SHOULD BE PURCHASED IN 1-5 POUND BAGS AND WILL BE SHIPPED IN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING TO MEET USDA STANDARDS.

CCEE IS A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, as defined by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Your monetary donation is tax-deductible. Receipts are given upon request.  

The Global Aid Network will serve as the shipping conduit and partner with CCEE for on- site distribution of humanitarian aid to various Haitian organizations and local community entities. Global Aid Network works in partnership with the existing Campus Crusade for Christ ministries, local churches, missionaries, and other agencies to help distribute compassionate aid to impoverished countries around the world and mobilizes mission team for aid in all needed categories.
